Your first week of classes is FREE!
How should I prepare for my first class?
Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day and try to come to your class properly fueled (it’s usually best to have a small snack 30-90 minutes before class).
Wear regular workout clothes and shoes (yoga pants, athletic shorts, tennis/training shoes, t-shirt or tank top). We have a water fountain, but many people still bring a water bottle. We also have towels, so don’t worry about that!
Arrive 5-10 minutes early (free parking available in the Avalon apartment garage). Your coach will introduce her/himself and you’ll have a chance to explain any injuries or limitations, as well as any previous fitness experience (if any).
What should I expect during my first class?
The coach will explain the general format of the class and will give instruction on the individual exercises. If you don’t remember everything, don’t worry! They are there to help you along the way and keep you on track.
Most classes include a combination of strength movements (body weight and/or weighted), balance, cardio (treadmill, rower, bike, stairs, elliptical) and mobility (stretching, range of motion). All classes will work your full body (upper body, lower body and core), so expect to get your heart rate up and get your muscles moving!
What about after class?
Spend a few minutes stretching, foam rolling and cooling down. We have full shower facilities (towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryers – no extra charge on anything) to clean yourself up if you’re heading to work or to dinner with friends.
What happens next?
You can expect to be a little sore in the coming days, but hopefully you can make it to a couple more classes during your Free First Week. After that, we’re currently running a 1st Month Promotion, which includes Unlimited Classes for $95. Our other pricing options can be found HERE.
